Things to do
Sport Fishing. From February to September along the Paraná and Uruguay rivers. The king of these waters is the Dorado, a very aggressive fish. Other species inhabiting these rivers are the manduví, the patí and the surubí. La Paz is internationally renowned as a fishing ground for large dorados.
Popular traditions. Some of the country's most colourful carnivals, such as the ones in Gualeguaychú, Gualeguay and Victoria, are held here. Visiting a farming and livestock estancia (ranch).

Places to visit
PARANÁ, CAPITAL OF THE PROVINCE.
Paraná has a view of the great river over the Parque Urquiza
cliffs. The Cathedral is in the main square. The Casa de Gobierno (Government
Building), Museo Histórico and Museo de Ciencias Naturales y
Antropológicas are all worth visiting.
CONCEPCIÓN DEL URUGUAY AND ITS SPAS. Enjoy
its spas and river beaches, among which Banco Pelay and Itapé
stand out. In the Plaza General Ramírez stands the Basílica
Inmaculada Concepción with the remains of General Justo José
de Urquiza. 30 Km away is the Palacio San José, a building combining
colonial architecture and Renaissance style. Right behind it lies an
artificial lake with gardens, bird homes, and pergolas.
CENTURIES-OLD PALMS. El Palmar National
Park is a large yatay palm forest. It can be reached from the town of
Colón.
Other places of interest: Concordia, linked
up with Salto (Uruguay) via the Salto Grande hydroelectric dam. The
Complejo Zárate-Brazo Largo, with two bridges separated from
each other by approximately 30 Km, is the land connection to the province
of Buenos Aires.
